Description

The Backbone of Modern Civilization — Now in Your Boardroom

The ultimate expression of Structural Integrity. The I-Beam Conference Table uses the same geometry that built the American skyline — now repurposed as the backbone of modern business. Hand-selected hot-rolled American steel, custom-built since 2009. The definitive icon of the industrial boardroom.

Each base is forged from hand-selected, hot-rolled American steel — chosen for grain, character, and the way the material carries light across its surface. The resulting finish is a bespoke patina that reveals the raw, organic grain of the metal, evolving as it catches the light of a boardroom.

Narrative Grain & Acoustic Warmth: The Silent Foundation

The solid wood surface is a hand-selected premium slab, curated for its narrative grain and acoustic warmth. Unlike cold, synthetic surfaces, our solid timber absorbs ambient noise, creating a grounded, focused environment for high-stakes negotiation. No two boards identical. No two tables the same.

The Definitive Icon — Built Since 2009

From boutique meeting rooms to expansive installations, we scale the I-Beam to your architectural requirements. Custom lengths, wood species, steel finishes, and integrated power and data solutions all specified at commission in our American workshop.

Built in Our American Workshop

Every piece is cut, welded, and finished by hand. Hot-rolled American steel is hand-selected for grain and character. Solid, sustainably sourced hardwoods are chosen by eye for density and soul.

Bespoke Options

Wood species, steel finish, dimensions, and technology integration are all specified at commission. No two pieces are identical.

Hand-selected. Hand-built. Hand-delivered. Since 2009.

For those outfitting a full executive suite, our industrial executive desks pair naturally with this piece — built to the same material and finish standards.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this table suitable for daily use?+
Yes. Both the top and base are finished with a restaurant-grade sealer built for all-day, everyday use. The steel base is engineered to industrial tolerances, a grade above both commercial and residential furniture. These aren’t display pieces — they’re built for the factory floor, refined for the room.
What wood species are available?+
Standard species are walnut, oak, mahogany, and cherry. All tops are solid, premium, sustainably sourced hardwood, hand-selected for figure and grain. Other species are available on request and finalized during your commission conversation.
What steel finish options are available?+
Natural patina is shown as standard. Black patina and painted finishes are available and finalized during the commission process.
Can I specify the table size?+
Yes — length, width, and height are all adjustable to your room and seating requirements. Dimensions are finalized during your commission conversation.
Are crank-height (adjustable height) options available?+
Yes. Several models are available with a hand-crank mechanism for sit-to-stand height adjustment. If the model you’re considering doesn’t show a crank, ask during your commission — it may be adaptable.
Can I add grommets, data ports, or power access?+
Yes. Cable grommets, data ports, and power access points can be built directly into the top. We’re also happy to work with your AV or IT team during the commission process to make sure everything is spec’d correctly before we build.
What edge profiles are available for the top?+
Live edge, straight, beveled, and other profiles are available depending on the model. Edge style is selected during your commission conversation.
How does the table ship, and what do I need on-site for delivery?+
Tables up to approximately 14 feet ship fully assembled. Larger tables ship with the base and top separated for safe transport and are assembled on-site by the delivery team. Large crates typically require a loading dock or forklift for offloading — if neither is available, let us know during your commission and we’ll work out the right solution.
What is the lead time?+
Lead times are typically 12 weeks or more from deposit, depending on configuration. Your specific timeline is confirmed at the start of your commission.
How is it delivered?+
Standard delivery is freight curbside. White glove service — inside placement, unpacking, and full assembly — is available; delivery method is confirmed during your commission conversation.
I’ve seen something that looks exactly like this on another site. Is it the same piece?+
No. Vintage Industrial designs have been copied extensively since 2009, primarily by Asian manufacturers selling through direct-from-China storefronts. The pieces look similar in photos but weigh a quarter of what ours do — they’re not designed to last, they’re designed to sell at a cheap price. Vintage Industrial sells direct only, through retro.net. We have no other sales channels, no third-party retailers, no Amazon storefront. If you’re seeing something like this anywhere else, it’s a counterfeit. Every Vintage Industrial piece is built to order in our Chicago shop by hand, from hot-rolled steel and solid hardwood, with a 12+ week lead time.

    Outstanding Product!!

    Bob B

We needed an industrial conference room table for our technology firm. After searching extensively online, we came across Vintage Industrial. As any non-plywood conference table is very expensive, we were pleased to see the value and quality that we received from our Vintage I Beam conference table. The quality far exceeded our expectations. We were located in Pennsylvania and Vintage was located in Arizona, so we had to go on pictures and faith. As I mentioned, we were NOT disappointed at all. This table would have cost double at one of those large “restoration” furniture stores and would have been far less quality. We were so impressed with our purchase, we bought a second table, this time only the 20 foot version. Once again, the table exceeded our expectations. Almost without fail, we received compliments on our table during every meeting. I can’t thank Vintage Industrial enough for the impact that these tables have made. One just cannot find unique quality such as this….

  2. Love our I-Beam Conference Table

    Frank Camean

I bought a large custom 14-seated conference room I-Beam Table from them and it is “Best of the Best” and I’ve purchased conference room tables before. All these other companies online trying to emulate them don’t compare. Purchase with confidence. Their products are immaculate and will last a lifetime. You will LOVE LOVE LOVE the products. They are hands down one of the best providers i’ve purchased from since opening up our new office. I highly recommend them. The folks at Vintage are A++ for us and we’ll continue to leverage them for any professional and personal projects. Trust me, you’ll love their work. True pros. Best conference room table i have ever sat in. This table speaks nothing but durability, strength, quality workmanship, unique, etc. etc. Hope my daughters will keep it around for a lifetime. Its a personal showpiece and masterpiece for me. Wishing them nothing but the best.
