Industrial Crank Tables: Where Art Meets Engineering
Precision Mechanics. Iconic Design. Built to Outlast Everything Else.
The industrial crank table is the definitive expression of the Vintage Industrial aesthetic. Born on the 19th-century factory floor and refined for the modern executive suite, our crank-adjust tables are mechanical masterpieces — fully functional gear systems that move seamlessly between sitting and standing heights.
Handcrafted in our Chicago shop from hot-rolled steel bases and precision mechanical screw mechanisms, every piece is built to work as hard as it looks. Whether anchoring a dining room as the Hure Crank Table or driving daily productivity as the Bronx Crank Desk, you are engaging with a legacy of American manufacturing.
Where It Started
In 2011, Greg Hankerson designed The Original Crank Desk — one of the first hand-crank height-adjustable tables brought to the US residential and boutique commercial market. Handcrafted in our Chicago shop from hot-rolled steel and solid hardwood, it predated the electric sit-stand boom and established the mechanical crank table as a category in its own right. Every crank table we build today traces its lineage to that original design.
