A-Frame Conference Table

Inspired by the commanding cast iron bases of late 19th and early 20th century American industry, the A-Frame Conference Table is an architectural heirloom engineered for generations of use. Each base is precision-formed from hand-selected hot-rolled American steel, joined by substantial connecting rods and oversized hardware that speak to an era of uncompromising craftsmanship. The top is available in solid, sustainably sourced premium hardwood — each plank hand-selected for its unique grain and character — or in hand-finished plate steel for a fully industrial expression.

Handcrafted in our workshop in downtown Phoenix, Arizona, the A-Frame Conference Table is built to be passed down. Every commission is made to order in proportions suited to your space, and configured so that every seat at the table is a seat of equal standing — a reflection of the intention behind every decision made here.

This is a piece conceived to outlast the room it anchors: a permanent record of craft in spaces where decisions are made, legacies are built, and the work of one generation becomes the inheritance of the next.

Description

Tailored to Your Vision

Every A-Frame Conference Table is made entirely to order, proportioned precisely to complement your architectural environment. Whether anchoring a boardroom or defining a collaborative studio, this piece is designed around your space — not the other way around. Specify the materials and finish that reflect your vision, and our Phoenix craftsmen will build it to endure for every generation that will gather around it.

A Legacy of Material Integrity

The structural base is precision-formed from hot-rolled American steel, each length hand-selected for grain, tone, and character before a single weld is laid. Connecting rods with oversized hardware echo the foundry traditions that inspired the original design — a direct line to the industrial workshops of the late 19th century, where material honesty was never a choice but a standard. Over time, the steel develops a rich patina that deepens its presence and quietly records the story of its use.

A Surface Worthy of the Work

Each top begins with a single curatorial decision: the selection of the material that will define the table’s character for generations. Our craftsmen draw from a considered range of solid, sustainably sourced premium hardwoods — among them mahogany, walnut, oak, cherry, and reclaimed boxcar oak — choosing each plank by hand for its individual grain, figure, and depth of tone. For a fully industrial aesthetic, a hand-finished plate steel top is available. Hardwood tops are finished with a refined wood edge profile; steel tops are fitted with precision-formed metal trim and structural bolted corners. Custom riveted trim is available, adding an additional layer of foundry authenticity to the finished piece.

Integrated Modern Utility

Dataport integration is available, allowing seamless technology access without compromising the table’s architectural presence. Form and function meet without concession — because a table built to last a century must serve the work of today without apology.

Handcrafted in the USA

The A-Frame Conference Table is handcrafted in our workshop in downtown Phoenix, Arizona — built to inhabit significant spaces and outlast the generations that gather around it. This is not production furniture. It is a commission, conceived with intention and executed with the discipline of craft, so that what is built today does not merely endure — it accumulates meaning, becoming the table around which the next generation will do the work that defines them.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this table suitable for daily use?+
Yes. Both the top and base are finished with a restaurant-grade sealer built for all-day, everyday use. The steel base is engineered to industrial tolerances, a grade above both commercial and residential furniture. These aren’t display pieces — they’re built for the factory floor, refined for the room.
What wood species are available?+
Standard species are walnut, oak, mahogany, and cherry. All tops are solid, premium, sustainably sourced hardwood, hand-selected for figure and grain. Other species are available on request and finalized during your commission conversation.
What steel finish options are available?+
Natural patina is shown as standard. Black patina and painted finishes are available and finalized during the commission process.
Can I specify the table size?+
Yes — length, width, and height are all adjustable to your room and seating requirements. Dimensions are finalized during your commission conversation.
Are crank-height (adjustable height) options available?+
Yes. Several models are available with a hand-crank mechanism for sit-to-stand height adjustment. If the model you’re considering doesn’t show a crank, ask during your commission — it may be adaptable.
Can I add grommets, data ports, or power access?+
Yes. Cable grommets, data ports, and power access points can be built directly into the top. We’re also happy to work with your AV or IT team during the commission process to make sure everything is spec’d correctly before we build.
What edge profiles are available for the top?+
Live edge, straight, beveled, and other profiles are available depending on the model. Edge style is selected during your commission conversation.
How does the table ship, and what do I need on-site for delivery?+
Tables up to approximately 14 feet ship fully assembled. Larger tables ship with the base and top separated for safe transport and are assembled on-site by the delivery team. Large crates typically require a loading dock or forklift for offloading — if neither is available, let us know during your commission and we’ll work out the right solution.
What is the lead time?+
Lead times are typically 12 weeks or more from deposit, depending on configuration. Your specific timeline is confirmed at the start of your commission.
How is it delivered?+
Standard delivery is freight curbside. White glove service — inside placement, unpacking, and full assembly — is available; delivery method is confirmed during your commission conversation.
