Description
The Glossy Sit Stand Crank Desk is the desk-format expression of the powder-coat crank line. Fully mechanical — a hand-crank raises and lowers the surface from seated to standing height without electricity, without motors, without anything that can fail. The base is fabricated from hot-rolled steel, hand-selected for grain and character, finished in gloss powder-coat. Shown in glossy red; available in any color finalized during your commission conversation.
Polished steel top with powder-coat clear shown. Solid hardwood tops — mahogany, walnut, reclaimed boxcar oak, and cherry — are all available, hand-selected for figure and grain. All hardwood tops include a breadboard end. Optional locking casters with rubber tread available. Everything finalized during your commission conversation.
Complete the workspace with the Vintage Industrial casegoods collection.

I’ve seen something that looks exactly like this on another site. Is it the same piece?+
No. Vintage Industrial designs have been copied extensively since 2009, primarily by Asian manufacturers selling through direct-from-China storefronts. The pieces look similar in photos but weigh a quarter of what ours do — they’re not designed to last, they’re designed to sell at a cheap price. Vintage Industrial sells direct only, through retro.net. We have no other sales channels, no third-party retailers, no Amazon storefront. If you’re seeing something like this anywhere else, it’s a counterfeit. Every Vintage Industrial piece is built to order in our Chicago shop by hand, from hot-rolled steel and solid hardwood, with a 12+ week lead time.
