IndustriaLux Table Base

Contact us for pricing

The IndustriaLux is refined industrial — arched hot-rolled steel legs, solid brass hardware, and a nameplate that means something. This is a base-only commission: you bring the top, we build the foundation. Available for tops from 6 feet to 25 feet or more.

Description

The IndustriaLux Table Base is built for clients who already have the top — or know exactly what they want. A live-edge walnut slab. A concrete pour. A glass panel. A reclaimed plank that’s been in the family for a generation. Whatever you’re bringing, this base is engineered to carry it.

The arched leg design draws from nineteenth-century industrial architecture — the ornate ironwork of early factory floors and railway structures, refined into something that belongs in a boardroom or a great room. Each arch is fabricated from hot-rolled steel, hand-selected for grain and character. The brass hardware — the nameplate, the accent bolt — is solid, not plated.

Bases are built to support tops from 6 feet to 25 feet or more, engineered to carry slabs weighing 1,000 lbs or more. Longer runs use multiple base sets engineered to work as a system, with consistent leg spacing and a unified footprint. Conference rooms, dining halls, communal tables, chef’s tables — the IndustriaLux scales to the room.

The same base design is available across the Vintage Industrial collection in configurations suited to different top materials, weights, and proportions. If you’re commissioning a top through us, dimensions and mounting specs are finalized together. If you’re sourcing your own top, we provide fabrication specs — mounting hole locations, weight capacity, and recommended top thickness — once the base is in production.

Available finishes: natural steel, blackened steel, and aged paint. Custom paint and color matching available — we’ll match a swatch, a Pantone, or a sample you mail us. Hardware finish is brass as standard; steel hardware available on request.

Frequently Asked Questions

What size tops does the IndustriaLux base support?+
The IndustriaLux is built for tops from 6 feet to 25 feet or more. Longer tables use multiple base sets engineered as a system — consistent leg spacing, unified footprint. Top dimensions are finalized during your commission conversation.
Can I order just the base without a top?+
Yes — this is a base-only commission. You source your own top, and we provide fabrication specs (mounting hole locations, weight capacity, recommended top thickness) once the base is in production. We can also build the top if you’d prefer a single commission.
What steel finishes are available?+
Three standard finishes: natural steel, blackened steel, and aged paint. Custom paint and color matching are also available — we’ll match a swatch, a Pantone reference, or a sample you mail us. Hardware is solid brass as standard; steel hardware available on request.
What tops are compatible with this base?+
The IndustriaLux accepts solid hardwood, concrete, glass, stone, and steel tops. Top material, thickness, and edge profile are finalized during your commission conversation. We’ll confirm mounting specs for any top material.
Is this suitable for a conference table?+
Yes. The IndustriaLux is engineered to support conference-scale tops — including tops that weigh 1,000 lbs or more. Multiple base sets work as a system for boardroom-length runs. See our conference tables collection for finished commission examples.
How long does a commission take?+
Twelve weeks or more from the date the commission is confirmed. Lead times can extend during high-demand periods — your specific timeline is confirmed at the start of your commission.
How is it delivered?+
Standard delivery is freight curbside. White glove service — inside placement, unpacking, and full assembly — is available; delivery method is confirmed during your commission conversation. Large runs may require a loading dock or forklift — let us know and we’ll plan accordingly.
How does the commission process work?+
Reach out through the commission form with the top you’re pairing with the base — material, dimensions, weight if known. We’ll confirm specs, finish, hardware, and lead time. Deposit secures your place in the build queue, balance due at completion before shipping.
I’ve seen something that looks exactly like this on another site. Is it the same piece?+
No. Vintage Industrial designs have been copied extensively since 2009, primarily by Asian manufacturers selling through direct-from-China storefronts. The pieces look similar in photos but weigh a quarter of what ours do — they’re not designed to last, they’re designed to sell at a cheap price. Vintage Industrial sells direct only, through retro.net. We have no other sales channels, no third-party retailers, no Amazon storefront. If you’re seeing something like this anywhere else, it’s a counterfeit. Every Vintage Industrial piece is built to order in our Chicago shop by hand, from hot-rolled steel and solid hardwood, with a 12+ week lead time.
