I’ve been living in an Asian household for over 10 years now. Taking off my shoes, when entering the house, has become a ritual. Sometimes when taking off or putting on my shoes, I found my balance isn’t that great making sitting is necessary. So I find myself plopping down on the ground. This got me thinking about a bench with shoe storage. A quick internet search later I found nothing that fits my taste which is vintage industrial, minimal or modern depending on the day. And for the last couple days I couldn’t sleep much because my brain was trying to figure out a solution to this.

This design lends itself well to those liking vintage industrial, modern, and/or minimal aesthetics. With a change in finish and the seat surface, one can tailor the piece to fit their home quite well.

This bench size shown is 48″ W x 14″ D x 19″ T. Finishes shown include polished stainless with white Corian top, mild steel with hardwood top, mild steel with no top, and white steel base with white Corian top. Also shown with a boot option which could be on one or both sides. The size also can be customized to suit your needs.
