Digital Hure

Contact us for pricing

The Digital Hure reimagines our most iconic 1900s French machinery design through the language of computational geometry. Using the mathematics of Delaunay and Voronoi tessellation, the base is sculpted to reduce weight while holding industrial rigidity — a youthful, digital reinvigoration of a timeless form. An ode to the past with the optimism of the future.

Description

The Digital Hure is a luxury industrial dining table from Vintage Industrial — a bespoke commission in hot-rolled steel and solid hardwood, sculpted through computational geometry. Available with two distinct tessellated steel bases and a range of premium top treatments, every Digital Hure is built to order in the USA.

Two Base Designs

The Digital Hure is available in two tessellation patterns, each developed from a different mathematical principle:

Delaunay — a triangulated lattice that distributes load through clean, angular geometry. Sharp, architectural, and graphic.

Voronoi — an organic, cell-like pattern derived from natural growth structures. Softer in feel, fluid, and sculptural.

Both are cut from hot-rolled steel, hand-selected for grain and character, and welded to industrial tolerances. The pattern is selected during your commission conversation.

Standard Sizes

96″ long × 40″ wide × 30″ high
120″ long × 48″ wide × 30″ high

Also available with a round top and pedestal base. Length, width, and height are fully customizable to your space and seating requirements.

Top Treatments

Available top options include:

  • Solid hardwood — walnut, oak, mahogany, or cherry, hand-selected for figure and grain
  • Black lacquered ash with chamfered edge — a deep, mirror-finish ash top with a precision chamfered profile
  • Steel — finished to match or contrast the base
  • Glass — clear or smoked, sized to the base footprint

Other species and finishes are available on request. See our full wood options and finishes here.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s the difference between the Delaunay and Voronoi base?+
Delaunay is a triangulated, angular pattern — sharp and architectural. Voronoi is an organic, cell-based pattern derived from natural growth structures — softer and more sculptural. Both deliver the same structural performance; the choice is aesthetic.
Is this table suitable for daily use?+
Yes. Both the top and base are finished with a restaurant-grade sealer built for all-day, everyday use. The steel base is engineered to industrial tolerances, a grade above both commercial and residential furniture. These aren’t display pieces — they’re built for the factory floor, refined for the room.
What top materials are available?+
Solid hardwood (walnut, oak, mahogany, cherry), black lacquered ash with a chamfered edge, steel, and glass. All wood tops are solid, premium, sustainably sourced hardwood, hand-selected for figure and grain. Other species and finishes are finalized during your commission.
What steel finish options are available?+
Natural patina is shown as standard. Black patina and painted finishes are available and finalized during the commission process.
Can I specify the table size and seating capacity?+
Yes — length, width, and height are all adjustable to your space and seating requirements. Whether you’re seating six or sixteen, dimensions are finalized during your commission conversation.
What is the lead time?+
Lead times are typically 12 weeks or more from deposit, depending on configuration. Your specific timeline is confirmed at the start of your commission.
How is it delivered?+
Standard delivery is freight curbside. White glove service — inside placement, unpacking, and full assembly — is available; delivery method is confirmed during your commission conversation.
