Anvil Table

Contact us for pricing

The Anvil is a modern industrial dining table with the stance of a blacksmith’s anvil — refined for elite interiors. The base is available in two configurations: stainless steel with powder-coated gloss black accents, or brass with walnut accents throughout. Tops in Fenix matte black or walnut, each surrounded by thick polished stainless trim.

Shown at 96″ × 40″ × 30″ tall. Custom lengths, widths, and heights built to order.

Description

The Anvil Table draws its form from the blacksmith’s most essential tool — a silhouette defined entirely by function, with a presence that commands the room. The base reads as sculpture from across the room and as precision engineering up close. It’s one of the most modern pieces in the Vintage Industrial collection, and one of the most uncompromising.

Two Configurations

The Anvil is available in two distinct configurations, each a complete design statement.

Stainless & Black — Baseplate and tubing in stainless steel with powder-coated gloss black accents. Top in Fenix matte black, surrounded by thick polished stainless trim. Clean, architectural, and at home in the most contemporary interiors — high-rise penthouses, open-plan lofts, and executive dining rooms.

Brass & Walnut — Baseplate and tubing in brass with walnut accents throughout the base. Walnut top, matched to the base accents, surrounded by thick polished stainless trim. Warmer and richer than the stainless configuration, without sacrificing the Anvil’s fundamental modernity. The brass and walnut pairing ages beautifully over time.

Dimensions

Shown at 96″ long × 40″ wide × 30″ tall — seats eight comfortably. Custom lengths, widths, and heights are available and finalized during your commission conversation. The Anvil scales well; the base proportions are designed to carry larger tops without losing visual balance.

Materials and Finish

Stainless steel and brass components are hand-selected and finished in-house. Powder-coated gloss black accents are applied after fabrication for a uniform, durable surface. Walnut accents and tops are hand-selected for grain and character. The Fenix matte black top is in a class of its own — fingerprint resistant, scratch resistant, self-healing, and extraordinarily non-reflective. It is soft to the touch in a way no other surface material is, and it is among the most durable tops available. Both top options are framed in thick polished stainless trim.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the two configurations of the Anvil Table?+
The Anvil is available in stainless steel with powder-coated gloss black accents and a Fenix matte black top, or in brass with walnut accents throughout and a matching walnut top. Both configurations include thick polished stainless trim around the top and are built to order.
What is the Fenix matte black top?+
Fenix is a premium Italian surface material used in high-end interiors and furniture. It is fingerprint resistant, scratch resistant, and self-healing — minor surface marks disappear with low heat. The finish is extremely matte and non-reflective, with a soft-touch feel unlike any other top material. It is surrounded by thick polished stainless trim on the Anvil.
What are the standard dimensions?+
The Anvil is shown at 96″ long × 40″ wide × 30″ tall. Custom lengths, widths, and heights are available and confirmed during your commission conversation.
Can the Anvil Table be made in a custom size?+
Yes. Length, width, and height are all customizable and finalized during your commission conversation. The base is designed to scale proportionally across a range of top sizes.
What is the lead time?+
Lead time is 12 or more weeks from commission confirmation. Each table is fabricated to order in our Phoenix, Arizona shop.
Do you ship nationally?+
Yes. Standard delivery is freight curbside. White glove service — inside placement, unpacking, and full assembly — is available and confirmed during your commission conversation.
I’ve seen something that looks exactly like this on another site. Is it the same piece?+
No. Vintage Industrial designs have been copied extensively since 2009, primarily by Asian manufacturers selling through direct-from-China storefronts. The pieces look similar in photos but weigh a quarter of what ours do — they’re not designed to last, they’re designed to sell at a cheap price. Vintage Industrial sells direct only, through retro.net. We have no other sales channels, no third-party retailers, no Amazon storefront. If you’re seeing something like this anywhere else, it’s a counterfeit. Every Vintage Industrial piece is built to order in our Chicago shop by hand, from hot-rolled steel and solid hardwood, with a 12+ week lead time.
