12 Foot Diameter Gear

Contact Us for pricing

This is a reproduction gear mold. The originals are getting harder and harder to find. Back in the day, they would first make these large gears out of wood. Then they’d do a sand casting from it, and pour in molten metal to make a metal gear. This piece is made from foam and has a hard solid surface coating. So it’s light, but looks like it weighs several tons. These are made in quarter pieces.

Standard species are walnut, oak, mahogany, and cherry. All tops are solid, premium, sustainably sourced hardwood, hand-selected for figure and grain. Other species are available on request and finalized during your commission conversation.
What steel finish options are available?+
Natural patina is shown as standard. Black patina and painted finishes are available and finalized during the commission process.
Can I customize this piece?+
Yes — dimensions, materials, finishes, and configuration are all adjustable. Every piece is made to order; details are finalized during your commission conversation.
What is the lead time?+
Lead times are typically 12 weeks or more from deposit, depending on configuration. Your specific timeline is confirmed at the start of your commission.
How is it delivered?+
