The Obsidian Prism Concept Table

    A Study in Folded Geometry

    The Story
The Obsidian Prism was born from a vision of “Industrial Origami.” We wanted to take the heaviest, most unyielding material—structural plate steel—and treat it like folded paper. The result is a design that bridges the gap between the raw, manual craftsmanship of a blacksmith and the precise, sharp-edged geometry of a digital landscape.

The base is composed of two massive, faceted pedestals connected by a central structural bridge. Each angle was designed to catch the light differently, creating a piece that looks like a shifting monolith as you walk around it. This isn’t just a table; it is a command center. It was designed for the space where high-tech innovation meets old-world grit—the perfect surface for drafting blueprints, leading board meetings, or hosting a dinner that starts a revolution.

    Product Overview

The Obsidian Prism Table is our most aggressive and technologically advanced concept to date. Featuring a twin-pedestal design crafted from hand-welded steel plates, this table offers an architectural silhouette that is both futuristic and deeply grounded.

As shown, the Prism is configured for the modern workspace with integrated power and data connectivity. The crystalline glass top acts as a transparent lens, showcasing the complex, multi-faceted steelwork below and making the base the true hero of the room.

    Key Features

    • Faceted “Origami” Base: A twin-pedestal system featuring complex, multi-angled steel facets that create a dynamic visual presence.

    • Integrated Tech-Ready Design: The concept is shown with recessed, flip-up power and data modules, seamlessly integrated into the steel pedestals for a cord-free workspace (Technology integration is optional).

    • Architectural Bridge: A heavy-duty central girder connects the pedestals, providing superior lateral stability and a cohesive industrial aesthetic.

    • Master-Welded Construction: Built from heavy-gauge structural steel to withstand the rigors of an executive boardroom or a high-traffic dining area.

    • Artisanal Steel Finishes: Shown in a Natural Steel finish with visible hand-finished character. Also available in a sleek Blackened Patina or Custom Powder-Coated Colors.

    Specifications & Customization

    • Shown Dimensions: 96″L x 40″W (Large Executive/Conference scale).

    • Versatile Surface Options: While the glass top (shown) provides the most dramatic view of the base, we offer premium Solid Hardwood (Walnut, White Oak, Reclaimed Wood) or Solid Plate Steel tops for a more monolithic look.

    • Completely Customizable: Because every Prism is made to order, we can scale this design for 6-foot personal desks up to 16-foot massive conference tables.

    • Materials: Heavy-duty plate steel, tempered glass.
