Hure Crank Dining Table

The Definitive Industrial Icon

The apex of industrial luxury. Originally designed in 2011, the Hure remains the gold standard for mechanical furniture—450-pound testament to American engineering, French aesthetic heritage, and uncompromising craftsmanship.

A Decade in the Making
First conceptualized and crafted in 2011, the Hure Crank Dining Table was born from a desire to merge the raw, visceral energy of the 19th-century industrial age with the refined elegance of the modern high-end interior. While its younger sibling, the Original Crank Desk, redefined the workspace, the Hure Dining Table was built to anchor the home. It is not merely a table. it is a mechanical sculpture.

The Engineering of Effortlessness
At the heart of the Hure is a massive, forged quad-crank mechanism. While the table itself weighs 450+ lbs, the height adjustment is fluid and intuitive. Rotate the solid iron crank wheel & the massive steel or wood top transitions from a traditional 30” dining height to a 42” gathering height. It is a tactile experience that reminds you of a time when things were built to last for centuries, not seasons.

Historical Pedigree meets Bespoke Luxury
Inspired by the legendary French machinist P. Hure, our design pays homage to the graceful curves and stout stability of early 20th-century factory machinery. Every Hure base is crafted and finished by hand in our American shop. No two pieces are identical. Whether topped with beautiful solid hardwood or a massive plate of distressed steel, your Hure is a 1-of-1 commission.

Since 2011, the Hure has transcended furniture to become an industrial icon, specified by elite global firms to anchor spaces like the command centers of Wall Street and the visionary labs of Silicon Valley.

Description

Why Choose the Hure?

  • Tectonic Stability: Weighing between 400 and 600 lbs, this table does not move. It provides a foundation for the room that is felt as much as it is seen.

  • The 2011 Legacy Design: Owning a Hure means owning the original. This is the design that launched a movement in industrial luxury furniture.

  • Heirloom Engineering: There are no plastic parts or electronic actuators to fail. The Hure is powered by physics and precision gears, designed to be passed down through generations.

  • Infinite Customization: From polished stainless bases to rare wood species and custom dimensions, we build the Hure to fit your architectural vision perfectly.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this table suitable for daily use?+
Yes. Both the top and base are finished with a restaurant-grade sealer built for all-day, everyday use. The steel base is engineered to industrial tolerances, a grade above both commercial and residential furniture. These aren’t display pieces — they’re built for the factory floor, refined for the room.
What wood species are available?+
Standard species are walnut, oak, mahogany, and cherry. All tops are solid, premium, sustainably sourced hardwood, hand-selected for figure and grain. Other species are available on request and finalized during your commission conversation.
What steel finish options are available?+
Natural patina is shown as standard. Black patina and painted finishes are available and finalized during the commission process.
Can I specify the table size?+
Yes — length, width, and height are all adjustable to your room and seating requirements. Dimensions are finalized during your commission conversation.
Are crank-height (adjustable height) options available?+
Yes. Several models are available with a hand-crank mechanism for sit-to-stand height adjustment. If the model you’re considering doesn’t show a crank, ask during your commission — it may be adaptable.
Can I add grommets, data ports, or power access?+
Yes. Cable grommets, data ports, and power access points can be built directly into the top. We’re also happy to work with your AV or IT team during the commission process to make sure everything is spec’d correctly before we build.
What edge profiles are available for the top?+
Live edge, straight, beveled, and other profiles are available depending on the model. Edge style is selected during your commission conversation.
How does the table ship, and what do I need on-site for delivery?+
Tables up to approximately 14 feet ship fully assembled. Larger tables ship with the base and top separated for safe transport and are assembled on-site by the delivery team. Large crates typically require a loading dock or forklift for offloading — if neither is available, let us know during your commission and we’ll work out the right solution.
What is the lead time?+
Lead times are typically 12 weeks or more from deposit, depending on configuration. Your specific timeline is confirmed at the start of your commission.
How is it delivered?+
Standard delivery is freight curbside. White glove service — inside placement, unpacking, and full assembly — is available; delivery method is confirmed during your commission conversation.
