It consists of several small metal beams along with big beams, nuts, screws, bolts, gears, pulleys, electric motors etc. The most important aspect in connection with the erector set is the erector beams which make them stand out to be the feature for sturdiness. It was invented in the year 1911 by A.C Gilbert. With the advent of new technologies and quality plastics, the popularity of these toys has faded as the years passed by.
