CBS Electronics made the Colecovision in mid 1982 when Atari was huge. It offered arcade quality graphics in a home console. The game came bundled with Nintendo Donkey Kong which was really big at that time. This helped boost sales to over one half million by Christmas. The console was about 14 inches long and had one cartridge port and 2 joystick ports. The joysticks fit neatly on the top of the system. Around 100 different games were made for the Colecovision before it was discontinued in 1984. At that time my friend had a Colecovision and I was really jealous even though I had an Atari 5200 with almost 2000 pirated games. I guess the grass is always greener on the other side.
